In the Secret Rooms: five designers, craftsmanship and sustainable fashion
As in the days of the Serenissima Republic, Venetian hotels will become hubs for future innovations: Hotel Danieli, Corte di Gabriela, Palazzo Venart and The St. Regis Venice will present five designers who connect traditional craftsmanship with innovation for sustainability.
The unique time we are currently experiencing pushes us to create new ways of communicating: during the Venice fashion shows the roles are inverted and so it will be the public, respecting all safety regulations, to move around the spaces.
Friday 23rd October, Hotel Danieli, 7 p.m.
In the splendid Royal Suite of the Hotel Danieli the Martina Vidal brand fashion show will take place. At its fourth generation the Venetian company safeguards the artisan heritage of Burano lace by bringing it into the future by creating contemporary designs. Under the frescoes of the suite overlooking the St. Mark’s Basin we will admire the new collection created in collaboration with the young designer Michela Gaiofatto.
Special Guest: Maria Conti Jewelry‘s innovative jewelry.
Saturday 24th October, Corte di Gabriela Boutique Hotel, 7 p.m.
From the encounter between a magical boutique hotel, to be visited and explored, and a creative designer, new delights can be born: Norma Marzà presents her brand Teo d’Amar, which starts from the concept of a beach towel, handcrafted and made of precious materials. The new collection of kimonos, embroidered bags, beach towels and furlane in a thousand colors, testifies Norma’s commitment towards sustainable fashion through creative craftsmanship.
Sunday 25 October, Hotel Palazzo Venart, 6 p.m.
In the sumptuous spaces of the 16th century Palazzo Venart overlooking the Grand Canal, designer Alessandra De Franza presents the new Tabinotabi collection, a clothing and design brand that takes up the ecological challenge with an innovative and sustainable fabric made from seaweed. Rich in vitamins, trace elements, amino acids and minerals, the Tabinotabi fibre helps cell regeneration, protects against free radicals and reduces inflammation.
Special Guest: Maria Conti Jewelry‘s innovative jewelry.
Friday 30th October, The St. Regis Venice, 6 p.m.
Cultivating the Vanguard: united by the same commitment to carry on the value of tradition into the future, The St. Regis Venice Hotel has followed step by step, throughout 2020, the development of the open work project that on Friday 30th October ecodesigner Tiziano Guardini will present in the majestic spaces in San Marco: a limited edition collection created with Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua, CNA, Confartigianato, Confindustria Moda and Venice Fashion Week, to highlight the excellence of high craftsmanship in Venice and the Made in Veneto manufacturing.
