The eighteen brands narrate tales of talent, creativity and Venetian craftsmanship: precious fabrics, hand-painted silks, unique creations – a combination of tailoring and design
An exhibition of the brands’ creations, starting from historical names and ending with the young generation, in the iconic windows of the hotel. The exhibition is open to the public from June to October 2021.
The selected brands are: Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua, Lunardelli Venezia, Atelier Martina Vidal, Orsoni Venezia 1888, BVL Venezia, Franco Puppato, Hélène Kuhn Ferruzzi, Micromega, Salvadori Diamond Atelier, Teo d’Amar, Unützer, Alessandra Micolucci, Gaiofatto, Là Fuori, (mine de rien), Carla Plessi, Tabinotabi, Vita di Vetro.
During the pandemic, in the month of March 2020, Venezia da Vivere launched the project #RiscrivereilFuturo, an open debate with citizens, scholars and entrepreneurs that aimed to re-imagine the future of Venice.
In 2021, the project is still ongoing with the creatives of Venice as its main protagonists. Alessio Lazazzera, general manager of Hotel Excelsior, has chosen to focus on the value of fine Venetian craftsmanship to create a programme of events that present the hotel’s new direction, and to do so, he has chosen Venezia da Vivere.
Laura Scarpa, Lorenzo Cinotti and Jacopo Casotto are committed to ensuring that Venice is recognised worldwide as a city of high level craftsmanship and creativity – productive, sustainable and contemporary.
