Venice Fashion Week
Venice Fashion Week is a fashion culture event aimed at national and international designers and brands.
The event contributes to the international debate on sustainable fashion, supports creative young talents and it is committed to protect and promote the high craftmanship.
Venice Fashion Week presents sustainable, tailored, Made in Italy and international fashion through fashion shows, conferences and exhibitions taking place in hotels, art galleries, boutiques and artisan ateliers.
Venice is home to important cultural world known events, a hub of unique craft skills. Since its foundation, the city has defied history, water and logistical difficulties, and it has become an example of resilience and inventiveness maintaining and defending its lifestyle on a human scale. Venice Fashion Week’s commitment is to promote Venice as a forum for the international debate on sustainable fashion, as a place to experiment new lifestyles, and as a networking platform for innovative companies and the local excellences.
High Craftmanship And Creative Young Talents
To support the collaboration between international creative talents and historical Venetian companies, we have created a new path to link companies to young creatives; their skills have been united in the production of international and Made in Veneto capsule collections.
The Future Of Venice
We love Venice and we want to enhance the peculiarities of such a productive city and its role in the fashion history through an event that will actively involves both, inhabitants and tourists.
Since the first edition in 2013 we have chosen to promote craftsmanship and the tailoring culture, creating partnerships with local stakeholders and supporting creative young designers. Venice Fashion Week is in line with the city with its events taking place in antique palaces, museums and art galleries.
This has allowed us to always offer to our wide live audience and on social media sites a look into the new frontiers of creativity and craftsmanship and at the same time to let people discover the most beautiful locations of the city.
We consider fashion as a powerful vehicle for transmitting important messages: by choosing to embrace sustainable fashion, Venice Fashion Week is now aiming at becoming an international platform for promoting sustainability, the city’s craftsmanship heritage and slow lifestyles, all profound values for Venice.
