The Impiraressa Marisa Convento
The term “Impiraressa” comes from Venetian dialect and from the verb “impirar”, which means “impale” and indicates a profession exclusively made by women. The impiraress works the glass beads produced at Murano island.
Marisa Convento embraces the tradition of impirar and composes jewelery, embroidery, flowers and corals with its pearls and glass beads.
